Mark Giangaspero studied and taught visual arts under the late Jack Richards until his passing in 2014. Giangaspero has been teaching drawing and painting classes in every media at the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center for over 10 years. They have shown work in prestigious galleries such as the McDonough Museum in Youngstown, Ohio, Viewpoints at the Cincinnati Art Club, and the National Arts Club in New York. The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio currently holds two of Giangaspero’s pieces, “Mr. Richardson” and “Portrait of Chris” in the permanent collection.

Mark Giangaspero studied at the School of Creative Design, and undertook private study with Robert Brachman, William Beckman and Leroy Flint. His work has been seen in group exhibitions in New York, Cleveland and Ohio.
This self-portrait is part of an ongoing series to which the artist adds two to four works each year.
